I am Tó'áhání' (Near the Water Clan) born for Chíshí (Chiricahua Apache). May maternal grandparents are Nááshtézhí Tábááhí' (Zuni Edgewater) and my paternal grandparents are Háshk'ááhadzóhí (Yucca Fruit Strung Out in a Line Clan).

Yá'átééh. My name is Trenell Tso, I am from Shonto, Arizona, located on the beautiful Navajo Nation.   I am the current Little Miss Shááhtóhó.  My parents are Daniel and Treva, whom reside and work in Phoenix, Arizona. My maternal grandparents are Leslie and Daisy Talker of Shonto, Arizona and my paternal grandparents are Samuel and Cecelia Tso of Dinnebeto, Arizona.  I have two sisters, Taylor who is 5 years old and in the first grade and my older sister, Kristen, is a freshman at Tuba City High School.

I am 9 years old and in the fifth grade at Shonto Preparatory School.  I have been on the Honor Roll since I started school and participated in many school activities.  My favorite activity is playing basketball and this year I am learning how to play volleyball.  I joined pee-wee basketball last year and played on Mr. Kenneth's team.  I also enjoy surfing the internet, playing games on my computer my dad built for me and hanging out with my friends.  During the summer I stay with my parents in Phoenix but go to school here in Shonto where I am closer to my culture and traditions.  While in Shonto, I stay with my grandparents to keep them company and happy.  We are their only grandkids and I help them around the house and with my sister.  They are my #1 fans.  I am lucky to have grandparents like them.  I also have a horse, 3 birds, 2 cats and one dog to take care of.

I also enjoy participating in Song & Dances. I have attended them around Shonto, Tuba City, Chinle and placed. I will be attending more through out the year. I also enjoy going to Powwows. I use to Jingle Dance but haven't lately and I will continue that soon.

I was asked what my future goals are.  All I know is I want to be successful and to help make a difference.  On certain days I want to be doctor, a teacher and then a veterinarian but one thing for sure is I want to run for Miss Navajo Nation in the future.  I am in my learning stages and so far my experience has been fun and educational.  Having this responsibility has taught me that there is more to learn out there.

I like to thank everyone for their support and donation, in return I will continue to support our tradition and my community as Lil Miss Sháátóhó.

Ahé'héé.
